Sometimes a handicap is all in the mind...

Laboring away in his tiny cubicle, Bob Maconel (Slater) is about to erupt in the face of endless paperwork, taunts from his co-workers, and a general feeling of disconnect from the rest of the world. Just when he's on the verge of going "postal," he inadvertently becomes a hero by saving the life of his office crush Vanessa (Cuthbert). Subsequently, the company president (Macy) promotes Bob to work for him directly. His first task is to deliver a confidential envelope to the girl of his dreams. Vanessa begs him to end her life, but when push comes to shove he decides to pursue a romantic fantasy with her instead.

A suspenseful, quirky and at times uncomfortably comedic drama, He Was a Quiet Man explores that blissful place that people go to when their reality is falling apart.
