"Displays the absurd qualities of a Christopher Guest film." - Sports Illustrated
A courtroom drama. A media circus. A video tape. And the most controversial baseball in the world. It's the last game of the 2001 Baseball season. San Francisco slugger Barry bonds smashes his World Record setting 73rd home-run into the stands of Pac Bell Park. Patrick Hayashi emerged from the pile of wild fans holding the famous ball. But Alex Popov claimed that he caught the ball first, and Hayashi grabbed the ball from his mitt in the vicious melee that ensued. So began the hysterical drama over the ownership of the cash-cow baseball that would last over 2 years, and expose the good, the bad and the ugly layers of human nature. Up For Grabs is a bitingly comic documentary. Audience Award winner for Best Documentary at Lost Angeles Film Festival.
