Look away, Dixieland! two best friends, Bell and Belle, have grown weary of dead-end jobs, dead-beat boyfriends and their rural Georgian town. The solution seems simple: pack up and move to "The Big City:" Atlanta! As they concentrate on saving up a suitable nest egg, Bell meets a handsome deputy who's named after her ideal man, Rhett Butler. Sparks fly (as do turkey feathers) and Bell's allegiances begin to shift, fanning Belle's insecurities and determination to fulfill her dreams--with or without Bell. While Rhett seems to be what Bell has always been looking for, Belle has been her best friend since she was "knee high to a grass-hopper." Torn between her unexpected love for Rhett and her desire to reach Atlanta with her best friend, Bell is forced to make a decision that will drastically change the direction of three lives at once.
