Gavin Wiesen attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts undergraduate film program. After college he served as script reader for several Hollywood producers and became assistant to director Bruce Paltrow, through completion of the film Duets. For the last few years he has been writing screenplays, and is currently developing his feature film, Homework.

If we made a movie out of your life so far, what would the title be?
Wait for Tomorrow.

You wake up tomorrow and movies no longer exist. What would we find you doing professionally?
Studying to be a psychotherapist.

If you could have a drink with any character from a movie who would it be and why?
Warren Beatty's George Roundy from Shampoo, for tips on women. Then a drink with Julie Christie.

What happened to advance your film from an idea on the page into a reality?
Saying out loud that there was a target start date, then going to the most talented people I know for advice and guidance, and being pleasantly surprised as they became actual collaborators.
