Michelle Porter is an accomplished theatre director and has already won awards for her filmmaking talent, as she makes a transition from the stage to moving images. Her shorts, Insight and Big Shoes to Fill, have played at many different film festivals, including the Vancouver International Film Festival, where she received the Telefilm Canada Award for Best Western Emerging Director for a short or Mid-length Film.
